LACTATION AND FEEDING Support

I offer support for all stages of your lactation and/or feeding journey, whether before birth, immediately postpartum or in the months after the baby is born. My lactation and feeding services include virtual and home/hospital visits to address feeding issues, and consultations on topics such as how to induce lactation, supplemental feeding systems, sharing feeding across families, returning to work, and how to feed your baby in a way that supports your life-, work- and family-specific needs. I offer single visits or a lactation doula package, which includes pre-birth or adoption feeding education, a support session to answer questions and help families make feeding decisions, a virtual or in-person visit to support feeding in the early days after birth or adoption, and follow-up visits during the first few months. Please contact for rates.

CONCEPTION SUPPORT

Conception support services, such as ICI, IUI or IVF, can be confusing to understand and emotionally and financially draining to access. Conception support includes talking through options, listening to concerns, explaining medical terms, discussing how non-gestational partners can be involved in the process, demystifying things like open, anonymous and known donors and embryo donation, offering resources, and making recommendations for complementary services, such as acupuncture. For those who want ongoing support throughout the conception process, including in-person support, I can accompany you to appointments, cheer you on through injections and procedures, help you process the outcome of individual cycles, and talk about next steps. For queer and BIPOC clients, a focus is placed on protecting the dignity and safety of those receiving conception support by seeking inclusive and knowledgeable care providers, resources and services. Virtual support is available. Please contact for rates.

BIRTH SUPPORT

A birth support package provides emotional, physical and practical support for pregnancy, labor and birth. It includes prenatal meetings, text and phone support, support during labor between 38 and 42 weeks, and postpartum visits to check on your wellbeing and support feeding. During prenatal visits, we’ll talk about your hopes for labor and birth, your birth plan, comfort measures, how to prepare for labor in a way that is best for you, how a partner or loved one can support you, and some of the choices you may be presented with by care providers. Immediately after birth, I’ll help make sure you’re comfortable, cared for and nourished and will provide feeding support.

For queer birthing folks and non-gestational parents, support can include recommending support groups and resources, discussing induced lactation, acting as a sounding board on parental names and second parent adoption, and helping build a protective wall around the family throughout the journey. Please contact for rates.

VIRTUAL PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

The prenatal and postpartum periods are both wonderful and challenging, and having a doula to support you and listen to your concerns can help you through these critical months. During the prenatal period, you may need help figuring out your birthing location and care provider choices, whether or not to have a doula present during labor, your birth plan, how to pack a bag for the birth center or hospital, how to plan for the postpartum period, information on childbirth education, basic guidance on labor and birth, and ideas regarding where to access resources. During the postpartum period, you may need feeding support, helping with meal planning and groceries, and resources on a wide range of postpartum and newborn concerns, care providers and care options. Virtual support is available across the US and overseas.

For queer birthing folks, non-gestational parents and adoptive parents, prenatal and postpartum support can also include helping identify inclusive support groups and resources, supporting emotions and challenges surrounding lactation, including induced lactation with non-gestational parents, and processing experiences with care providers during the birth and postpartum period. Please contact for rates.

SERVICES for doulas and birthworkers

building an inlusive business

What does it look like to build a practice that is truly inclusive of the wide range of folks in queer communities? What
knowledge do you need? Where can you get started? What can you change or improve in your services, and what content
needs to be added or removed from your website and resources? How do you honor the language your current
clients use while making sure language speaks to everyone? What inclusive tools can you include in your birth bag?
Arrange for a one-on-one session to discuss all of these aspects of inclusive birthwork, access resources and discuss
your goals and aspirations for an inclusive birthwork business. Includes review of your website and resources. Please contact for rates.
